Anthea Organics Energy Blend won the Bronze award at Gourmet Exhibition’s Specialist Awards 2021

The Specialist Awards hosted by Gourmet Exhibition, is a gastronomic event that takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece. The competition was first created in 2019 with the purpose to showcase the finest Greek products and to offer a great platform to small and medium sized producers and businesses to promote their brand name.

About 880 Greek products participated on 2021 event. The selection process of the winners took place through voting by a specialized panel of 100 professionals from different fields and industries. The evaluation criteria were based on the 5 senses, while the competition introduced this year the UNAMI, known as the sixth sense.

The voting system ranged from 0 to 100, with 100 being the higher point that a product could get. The 4 awards categories were:

• Platinum, 95,0 – 100, 0
• Gold, 85,0 – 94,9
• Silver, 75,0 – 84,9
• Bronze, 65,0 – 74,9

Anthea Organics is delighted to announce that our Organic Energy Blend, which participated in the category of ‘’Innovative Product’’, won the Bronze award at Gourmet Exhibition’s Specialist Awards.

The Organic Energy Blend packaging is zero waste and plastic free, like all the Anthea Organics packaging. The tea bags are made of polylactic acid (also known as PLA), a bioplastic which is produced by plant-based sources, like corn starch. They are biodegradable and compostable. Inside the paper box, the tea bags are placed in a special sachet made of cellulose, a substance which derives from wood-pulp (Nature-Flex) and is fully biodegradable and compostable.
